This is on the woodier side stylistically but it’s not over the top

Here the grudging nose only reluctantly gives up its much gamier aromas of red berries

We’ll see with time but despite the serious punch

Domaine, Pavelot Vintage:2020 From their own estate(from Les Chaumes). Enough wood to merit pointing out is present on the vaguely exotic nose of apple compote, lychee, passion fruit and jasmine tea scents. There is both fine volume and power to the larger scaled flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the sappy, moderately long and noticeably rustic finale. This delicious effort wont win any awards for refinement, but it should repay 5 to 8 years of keeping.
