Mad Dog & Bean's was a simple and quaint burger stand on the edge of the University of Texas West Campus that looked like what you'd expect to see in a film about old Austin. With outstanding burgers, fries and malts, it was the kind of place you took out of town company to eat. Inexpensive, innovative, with offerings like their Primo burger, a quarter pound burger blended with bacon, jalapeos and onions, then grilled and
