Vintage 1960s Embroidered Straw Tote Large Summer Handbag Purse British Hong Kong objects 1950s The brooch measures 2 3/8"This is a vintage 1960s straw tote or large handbag that I believe was made in British Hong Kong. The front of the tote is embroidered with a raised straw scene consisting of a person amidst trees and plants, all rendered in bright colours of pink, purple yellow and green. The interior of the tote is one large compartment that is lined in cheesecloth through the cheesecloth, you can see that whatever they used to line the straw is stamped Utility Bowl
